Return & Refund Policy

Mala of Merit Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with us at Mala of Merit. We hope you love your purchase, but if you need to return or exchange an item, please read on for our return and refund policy.

Returns and Exchanges:

Mala jewelry that has been worn cannot be returned or exchanged.
Items that have not been worn or de-tagged can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery under the following conditions:
        1. All merchandise must be unwashed, unworn, or unused
        2. All hangtags must be attached to the product 
      Outgoing and return/exchange shipping charges are not refunded.
      We will credit your original method of payment, minus the shipping charges, once your return arrives. Please allow up to 5 business days for the refund to be processed. You will be notified by email once completed.
      To start a return or exchange, please email us at Support@MalaofMerit.com with the following information:
          1. Name on the purchase
          2. Email or phone number used on your order at checkout
          3. Order number
          4. Reason for return
        We will issue a return shipping label for you to use for your return.

          Faulty/Incorrect Items:

          Every product we send out is inspected to ensure it's of the highest quality. However, if you happen to receive a broken, damaged, or incorrect item, please email us at Support@MalaofMerit.com and we will happily replace it as long as it has been returned within 30 days of purchase.
          Please note that the natural variances in the gemstones are not considered a manufacturing fault and are completely normal.
          If you have received a faulty item, we will cover the cost of return shipping. Please contact us with the following information so we can issue you a return shipping label:
                1. Name on the purchase
                2. Email or phone number used on your order at checkout
                3. Order number
                4. Photo of the faulty item
                5. Description of what/why it is faulty
              We will replace the item if it is in stock, or refund you upon return. Your refund will be issued within 5 business days.

                Order Cancellation:

                If you wish to cancel your order, it must be canceled prior to shipment. Once your order has already been shipped, you will need to follow the return policy outlined above.
                To cancel an order, please email us directly at Support@MalaofMerit.com with the following information:
                      1. Name on the purchase
                      2. Email or phone number used on your order at checkout
                      3. Order number
                      4. Reason for cancellation
                    Once your order has been confirmed and canceled, you will be refunded via your original payment method within 1-5 business days. You will be notified by email once you have been refunded.

                      Warranty:

                      If your mala breaks within 6 months of purchase, please email us at Support@MalaofMerit.com with the following information:
                            1. Name on the purchase
                            2. Email or phone number used on your order at checkout
                            3. Order number
                            4. Photo of the broken mala
                            5. Description of what happened (we want to ensure it doesn’t happen again)

                          We want you to use your mala every day and our quality will ensure you can. If your mala breaks within 6 months of delivery from normal use and not abuse, we will restring it or replace it for free.

                          If your mala breaks after 6 months, we offer a restringing fee that is substantially less than buying a new mala. Please reach out to us via email at Support@MalaofMerit.com to arrange for a restringing.

                            Restocking Fee:

                            There is no restocking fee for returns or exchanges.

                              Return Shipping Fees:

                              There is no cost for return shipping if the product is incorrect, damaged by the carrier, or defective in another way.

                                Obtaining a Return Label:

                                To obtain a return label, please email us at Support@MalaofMerit.com and follow the instructions provided in our response. You can then download and print the label.

                                  Returning Products:

                                  After contacting our customer support team and receiving our response, please follow these steps to return your products:
                                        1. Pack all the returned items, along with a print-out of your confirmation of purchase email and the return label.
                                        2. Follow the return instructions provided in the response via email.

                                      Refunds (If Applicable):

                                      Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. This email will include a determination if your return is valid for a full refund or denied for a full refund.
                                      If you are approved, your refund will be processed within 3 business days. A credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.
                                      If your return is denied for a full refund, you will be notified via email with the reason for the denial.

                                        Exchanges (If Applicable):

                                        If you need to exchange an item for a different size or color, please email us at Support@MalaofMerit.com with the following information:
                                              1. Name on the purchase
                                              2. Email or phone number used on your order at checkout
                                              3. Order number
                                              4. Reason for exchange
                                            We will issue a return shipping label for you to use for your exchange.
                                            Once your exchange is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and are processing your exchange.
                                            If the exchange item is in stock, we will ship it to you as soon as possible. If the exchange item is out of stock, we will refund you for the returned item and let you know it is not available for exchange.

                                              Late or Missing Refunds (If Applicable):

                                              If you haven't received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
                                              Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
                                              Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
                                              If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at Support@MalaofMerit.com.

                                                Sale Items (If Applicable):

                                                Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
